Space Systems Engineer – Mid Level

You are

Confident in your technical and leadership capabilities, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs morph, and desire to work on-site in Colorado Springs, CO, side-by-side with our teammates and customers while overseeing a small analysis team.

You will

Lead a small team of engineers to deliver systems engineering and technical analysis in support of Headquarters, STARCOM S5/8/9. Interact with other contractors and government personnel to track requirements processes, analyze POM inputs, and trace the effects of STARCOM efforts to warfighter effectiveness.

Analyze current and future elements of the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure to determine cost and benefit. Demonstrate the effectiveness (or not) of various STARCOM efforts to an increase in warfighter effectiveness. Deliver artifacts for contract compliance to include monthly status reports and financial reports.

You have

  • Experience in design, development, analysis, or acquisition of space systems, including subcomponents
  • Experience in formal DOD test and/or training
  • Demonstrated System Engineering skills
  • Bachelors of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics.
  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS and SCI eligibility
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 to 10 years of experience
  • Experience using M&S tools to analyze system evaluation and mission effectiveness
  • Proficiency in software development or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java)
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis and data modeling

Compensation:  Base Salary: $110,000 – $145,000 however this is commensurate with experience.   Annual bonuses can be significant because they are based on the extent to which the employee drives profitability for the company.
