Space Systems Engineer Mid-level

You are

Confident in your technical capabilities, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs morph, and desire to work on-site in El Segundo, CA side-by-side with our teammates and customers on a small-agile team.

You will

Support the program office space-systems integrated product team in the development, deployment and sustainment of USSF’s National Security Space system within Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office.

Track system development and deployment to aid in identifying risks and potential system capability gaps.  Perform analysis of proposed system capabilities, changes, and potential alternative designs to assess performance against requirements.  Identify studies to mitigate risks and capability gaps.  

You have

  • Experience in design and development of entire space systems, including subcomponents
  • Experience in multiple space operations and space control-related fields, including but not limited to orbit dynamics, navigation, sensor employment, communications, optimization, and command and control
  • Demonstrated System Engineering skills
  • Bachelors of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics.
  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS and SCI eligible
  • Willing to consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph examination
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 to 10 years of experience

Compensation: Base Salary: $116,000-170,000, however this is commensurate with experience.   Annual bonuses can be significant because they are based on the extent to which the employee drives profitability for the company.
