Acquisition Specialist

You are

Confident in your technical capabilities, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs morph, and desire to work in Colorado Springs, CO to work side-by-side with government counterparts on small agile teams to ensure our nation’s space assets are safe & effective.

You will

Support the US Space Force in developing, deploying, and sustaining the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) for the Space Systems Command, Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Directorate’s system program office. Provide support to the Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding the development of acquisition strategies, including contracting, budgeting, technical reviews, and execution options. Coordinate and interact with multiple stakeholders including Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, and external organizations.

You have

  • Experience with Department of Defense program acquisition processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of DoD Financial Management and Program Execution processes
  • Knowledge of DoD contracting processes
  • Desired – Experience in DoD system development, test, training, and/or operations
  • Desired – Space-domain experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence decision makers.
  • TS/SCI Clearance Eligible
  • The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years’ Experience.
  • DAWIA Program Management Practitioner (Level 2) Certification a plus
  • RFP development and Source Selection experience also a plus

Compensation:  Base Salary: $110,000 – 150,000 however this is commensurate with experience.   Annual bonuses can be significant because they are based on the extent to which the employee drives profitability for the company.
