You are
Confident in your technical capabilities, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs morph, to live in Colorado Springs, CO and to work at Schriever Space Force Base to support our customers as they continuously improve and develop the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC).
You will
Provide Space Systems Engineering and Technical Advisement to the United Stated Space Force. You will support multiple projects and different efforts based off the direction and prioritization of the 98th Space Range Squadron in any of the following categories: Range Control & Range Safety for Operations & Training, On-boarding & Mission Assurance of Range Assets, Liaison with Range Customers, and/or Integration of the NSTTC Orbital with other National Ranges and different domains. You will leverage your experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Orbital Warfare Domain and Satellite RPO to include operations and mission planning
- Test experience in planning, execution, analysis, and/or reporting to include test development, mission planning, range coordination, data collection, data analysis, and/or test reporting
- Range Control and/or Launch Range Engineering
- Orbital Analyst, COLA, and/or Orbital Safety
- Satellite Operations and/or Satellite Bus and Subsystems Engineering
- Mission Assurance to include Configuration Management, Mission Protection, Mission Safety, and/or Anomaly Response
- Training, Instruction, and development of TOs, Procedures, and Job-Aids for crew operations
- DOD acquisitions and fielding of systems
You have
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new guidance
- Ability to work independently and multi-task projects
- Desire to learn new skills and willingness to tackle new challenges
- Previous experience serving or working directly with military space organizations
- Understanding of military Orbital Warfare operations and employment concepts and/or the Orbital domain and associated physics.
- Demonstrated Test Engineering and/or System Engineering skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant technologies: Astrodynamics, RF, EO/IR, Communications, radars, communications, satellite systems and satellite mission planning
- US Citizenship
- Current TS/SCI Eligible
- BS Degree in Technical Field with desire in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Math
- The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of relevant experience to include time served in the military with at least 5 years of engineering experience
Compensation: Base Salary: $110,000-$175,000, however this is commensurate with experience. Annual bonuses can be significant becausethey are based on the extent to which the employee drives profitability for the company.
