Space Systems Integration Subject Matter Expert (OTTI)

You Will

Provide system integration support across the Air, Space and Cyberspace Domains as a part of the Engineering Division of the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure integrated program office.   Supervise a small team of system engineers in the Engineering Division of USSF Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) integrated program office.  The OTTI program is developing live and synthetic range capabilities across the Space and Cyberspace Domains which will interoperate with ranges from the Air and Land domains.  Guide the establishment of partnerships/ relationships at all levels of leadership within the OTTI organization.  Interact with STARCOM Deltas and Staff, other USSF Field Commands, HQ USSF, SAF, Mission Partners and Range customers across the DOD and other National Range customers.  Specific tasks Include but are not limited to:

  • Leading efforts to coordinate the integration (Cost, Schedule, Technical) of USSF, DoD, and partner capabilities with the OTTI capabilities. 
  • Engage in technical, acquisition, and integration efforts across the OTTI IPO
  • Recommend, develop, and integrate enterprise concepts and recommendations to capitalize on cross range best practices, efficiencies and standardization
  • Provide feasibility Studies and Concept Exploration
  • Develop acquisition products and documentation including Design Reference Missions, Requirements, Statements of Work, Concepts of Employment, Functional Analysis, Risk Management
  • Assess, align, and integrate programmatic considerations and provide technical support to Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB&E)
  • Develop and document logistics goals, objectives, services, and programs, as well as the individual needs in order to meet mission requirements
  • Provide support in planning and managing program transitions and operational integration, to include integration and requirements generation, training, logistics, operations, and maintenance concepts.
  • Provide outreach support to OTTI customers, users and partner program offices

You Have

  • Experience leading teams in the development of complex enterprise level system integration products and the integration of systems-of-systems.
  • Experience with operations, test, analysis, and/or experimentation of space systems or military systems including space operations or test control room experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical and team facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact with senior department of defense and other government officials as well as defense contractors at all levels
  • Strong background in Acquisition, Requirements, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and hardware development process. 
  • Range Experience with test, analysis, and/or experimentation of space systems or military systems including space operations or test control room experience is desired
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
  • The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience

Compensation:  Base Salary: $180,000 to 220,000, however this is commensurate with experience.
Annual bonuses can be significant because they are based on the extent to which the employee drives profitability for the company.
