Business Operations Associate

You will

Report directly to the CEO of a small, growing business and help ensure growth is managed successfully.

Be exposed to and learn many, if not all aspects, of running a small company.

Support efforts to recruit, hire and retain top-notch talent by: (1) Assisting recruiting and candidate screening efforts. (2) Working with our brokers to obtain and maintain competitive benefits packages for employees living in California, Colorado, Maryland and Virginia. (3) Aiding managers with the on-boarding of new employees, including any relocation items and all required legal documentation. (4) Researching and executing employee morale projects from time to time.

Support efforts to keep business processes working well, including: (1) Interfacing with the accounting firm to supply needed documentation (2) Managing the 401-K (3) Insuring compliance with contracts.

Perform ad hoc tasks and projects to maintain and grow capabilities across the company.

Screen/find new business opportunities.

You have

A background in accounting, human resources or project management. A track record of being professional and discrete when handling confidential information. Proficiency with email, Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent communication skills, and a desire for continual improvement.
